MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Use the MCP tool to configure integrations with any service that offers an MCP server - enabling automated data exchange and process coordination between Scout and third-party systems.

Overview

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration provides a standardized way to connect ScoutOS agents with any service that implements MCP. This enables agents to access and interact with a wide ecosystem of tools and data sources using a consistent interface.

Prerequisites

  • MCP server endpoint for your target service
  • Authentication credentials for the MCP server
  • MCP server configuration details (endpoints, capabilities)
  • Network access to the MCP server

How to use this integration

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page in your Scout Dashboard
  2. Select MCP from available integrations
  3. Enter your MCP server endpoint and credentials
  4. Configure the specific MCP capabilities you want to enable
  5. Go to Agent Settings for your agent
  6. Click Add Tool and select the MCP actions available from your server
  7. Your agent can now interact with the connected service via MCP
