MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Use the MCP tool to configure integrations with any service that offers an MCP server - enabling automated data exchange and process coordination between Scout and third-party systems.
Overview
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration provides a standardized way to connect ScoutOS agents with any service that implements MCP. This enables agents to access and interact with a wide ecosystem of tools and data sources using a consistent interface.
Prerequisites
- MCP server endpoint for your target service
- Authentication credentials for the MCP server
- MCP server configuration details (endpoints, capabilities)
- Network access to the MCP server
How to use this integration
- Navigate to the Integrations page in your Scout Dashboard
- Select MCP from available integrations
- Enter your MCP server endpoint and credentials
- Configure the specific MCP capabilities you want to enable
- Go to Agent Settings for your agent
- Click Add Tool and select the MCP actions available from your server
- Your agent can now interact with the connected service via MCP
